Kickboxing sparring! 7/3/08 Rules: Modified muay thai rules. No knees/elbows to the head.Me (blue shorts) and ken (black shorts)Notes:My hands get low as I get more fatigued. In general, I need to keep my hands up higher. It leaves me open for punches and those beloved high kicks I like so much. I also need to try and make more contact with my shin when kicking. My hands need to be combined with my kicks more fluidly. I may be relying on my kicks a bit too much too, my hands seem under utilized. They also tend to drop when I'm throwing combinations. Gotta keep my chin tucked too. Ken may need to press in more to prevent me from using my kicks so much. His defense is not bad, though I keep seeing openings for head kicks. More jabs would also keep me more off balance and on my toes. More aggression in general would likely be key to making openings on me.Constructive criticism/advice is appreciated.
